Research On Algorithm Of Digital Meter Indication Automatic Reading Based On Arm

According to manual metering model, this paper mainly improves on the algorithm of meter indication reading based on ARM, and completes the image acquisition based on embedded system. It realizes to read the number of energy meter automatically. The algorithm completed the image collection by camera programming with embedded Video4Linux. Using the way of human-computer interaction, the digital region has been located by graphic interface function of Qt. After the pretreatment to the picture, the character of electric meter has been recognized by using BP neural network. It has a high recognition rate. This algorithm significantly overcomed the shortcomings of manual metering model such as work intensity inefficiency etc. It have broad application prospect.
