An Investigation On Firewall-based Security System Of Campus Network

With the popularization of Internet and development of campus network, many universities and colleges have built their campus network. The campus network has become the important part of the information system in the universities and colleges. How to protect the data and system in the opening network environment has become a more and more important and imminent question. An open system has to face up to various threats and attacks. So the establishment of a network security system is crucial and it involves aspects from the hardware to the software, from computer to network.Firstly, in this paper, the concept of network security is introduced, and various threats confronting the campus network are also discussed. The security structure of IS07498-2 and the dynamic security model-P2DR are introduced, and the concepts of security analysis of risk, requirement, strategy and target, etc.Secondly, we introduce the traditional firewall technology, point out some problems. We discuss the structure of the distributed firewall, and also the key technology and the advantages.Finally, a practice based on the solution of the intelligence probe, firewall and security management platform has been made in our works. The safety of the campus network has been enhanced effectively.
