Campus Network Security Technology

With the popularity of the network in the world, campus network who supplies service for education, science research and administration, joins the Intranet and the Internet, shares the information, It's convenient for teachers and students' work, study, living and entertainments, but also facing serious network security situation. How to ensure campus network be operated normally, efficiently and safely is the problem for collages. Now, there are several techniques for network security, such as, firewall, identity authentication, intrusion detection, anti-virus and so on. But these are unilateral or partial measures, can't give overall protection for campus network security. The new thought, so-called overall security solution, pays more attention to the change from "partial war" to "defense in depth". It integrates the security into network foundation infrastructure, and expects the cooperation which profits from the connection of various security components.Aims at the problems now in Suzhou Top Institute of Information Technology network security and the shortages existing in firewall, identity authentication, intrusion detection and anti-virus technology, this paper carries out a new solution, namely a overall security solution for Suzhou Top Institute of Information Technology campus network.
