The optical access network is a hot spot of common interest in the field of telecommunication and operation recently. Fiber To The House is the final goal, Passive Optical Network is one of the ideal technologies to realize that, and Ethernet Passive Optical Network represents the latest development trend of the access network. At present, Ethernet-based passive optical network access architecture mainly uses the structure of centralized control of remote access to central office of the centralized structure architecture, In order to better satisfy EPON Multi-Service demand and Support DBA algorithm, So as to enhance the EPON upstream channel bandwidth utilization and to ensure QoS, In this paper, "distributed EPON access architecture and DBA algorithm research" this topic. The main contents are as follows:1. Analysis of the current typical EPON access centralized architecture and working mechanism. Shows that the access structure and support for the structure of working mechanism of upstream bandwidth allocation problems, On this basis, the proposed architecture to improve the access of a program, that is distributed EPON access structure, and this two types of access architecture analyzed.2. Distributed EPON access architecture to study the structure works. The structure of ODN through the introduction of a star coupler to support the distributed network, so that we can achieve interoperability between ONU; the same time, the structure of upstream channel slot allocation of the arbitration right to own ONU completed, more to support multi-service of QoS. In this study, based on the realization of distributed EPON access architecture need to address the cycle of slot allocation and use of cycle time to wait for two key issues.3. In order to study the support structure of the distributed EPON access DBA algorithm, on the EPON system upstream bandwidth allocation and scheduling mechanism typical DBA algorithm theoretical research. Focused on the work of EPON uplink communication mechanisms and characteristics, EPON remote dispatch system reporting and licensing mechanism, the composition of entities authorized bandwidth, ONU multi LLID technology as well as dynamic bandwidth allocation program adaptive cycle time of the staggered poll (IPACT) algorithm.4. Distributed EPON access structure for the need to address the key issues of the DBA algorithm IPACT made improvements to design suitable for distributed EPON structure DBA algorithm. The main design work, including support for ONU order DBA algorithm design and support of the remaining bandwidth use DBA algorithm design. Finally, distributed EPON structure DBA algorithm simulation, experimental results show that the structure of Distributed DBA algorithm EPON than centralized EPON structure DBA algorithm has better performance.
