Now in the information age, ubiquitous automatic control systems and equipments have made the tremendous contribution for humanity's civilization. The college automated discipline is shouldering honorable mission for the personnel training and the scientific research. Meanwhile, the laboratory construction is an important work in teaching. By combining simulation algorithm, control algorithm and hardware, this subject selected an important controlled parameter of industry control—temperature as research object, and has designed a simulation experiment platform that can used in the temperature control system analysis, design , debugging and evaluation. This platform not only can achieve the control and monitoring function, but also can simulate the function and characteristics of controlled object. The main contents of this paper are as follows.1. The background, study meaning and study contents of this subject is introduced in the paper.2. The design scheme and composition of this subject is overall introduced in the paper.3. The hardware design method of the simulation experiment platform is emphatically introduced in the paper. The design of hardware platform fully considered the generality, flexibility and convenience. It takes the C8051F020 MCU as the core, including multiple expansion circuit modules. The circuit diagrams and detailed design principles are introduced in the paper.4. The mathematical model of controlled object is established, and the model parameters are determined by step response identification method. An improved PID control strategy is designed, and the PID parameters are tuned by using the trial-and-error method.5. The software design method of the controller, simulator and auxiliary circuit is emphatically introduced in the paper. The detailed design principles and program flowcharts are also introduced.6. The design method of human-computer monitoring interface is introduced in the paper. Users can set parameters, control operation and real-time observe parameters, temperature curves and alarm events in the monitoring interface. The detailed communication mode, some program flowcharts and monitoring graphs are introduced in the paper.
