The Research Of Medical Information Retrieval And Extraction Technologies Based On Ontology

With the advent of the internet, the volume of information has expanded at a prodigious rate. It provides people a rich source of information for finding and acquiring useful information. In order to make full use of rich source of information, many countries are researching in knowledge engineering.At first, the concept of ontology, current situation of ontology research at home and abroad, and ontology in semantic Web are discussed. Then based on the introduction of ontology theory ,the author used Protege, the construction and maintenance tool of ontology, designed and completed the medical ontology prototype. In this system, W3C standard OWL was chosen as the OWL description language, RDF/RDFS as the semantic labeling language, Ontology reasoning and data query function was realized in this system, and a semantic querytool was successfully implemented.The ontology technology was introduced into medical information retrieval for improving the search quality. It took heart disease as an example to construct a small medical ontology and proposed a framework of ontology-based medical intelligent information retrieval. During the construction of the prototype system, this paper used several technologies such as correlation degree and Jena-based query for reference. This made up for the flaw of the traditional keywords-based information retrieval system. It is better at integrality and precision of the retrieval result.
