As the development of the business process management, it becomes a new trend that the business process management is data-centric. The typical representive is the idea which is proposed by IBM that the core data in the business process is described by Artifact. ArtiFlow is a data-centric and logical model which specifies the business process. So, it is a key problem of ArtiFlow-oriented business process management system that how to realize the automatic translation from AtiFlow to physical model. This has significant value of research. This paper takes BPEL as the physical model. According to the corresponding relationship of the primary elements in ArtiFlow, the automatic translation from AtiFlow to physical model is realized.Firstly, the logical model called ArtiFlow and the physical model named BPEL are introduced at detail, and the component elements of the two models are analysed. In addition to, the relative technologies and the major problem in the translational process from logical model to physical model are illustrated.Secondly, a translational approach based on mapping from ArtiFlow to BPEL is proposed. The logical service and repository in ArtiFlow are mapped to the services in physical layer, and the primary elements in ArtiFlow are translated to the corresponding activities in BPEL. According to the relationship of the logical service and logical repository in ArtiFlow the executive sequence of the services in BPEL is constructed.Thirdly, because of the problem that it is too difficult to translate ArtiFlow to BPEL, the concept of SerFlow is introduced. It is a layer which is abstracted between ArtiFlow an BPEL.SerFlow is closer to BPEL than ArtiFlow. Based on SerFlow a translational algorithm from SerFlow to BPEL is proposed. This algorithm is based on the translational approach from ArtiFlow to BPEL. In the conditon of the mapping, the given SerFlow is taraslated to BPEL automatically. At last, the automatic translation of the process is realized. Finally, the experiment is conducted to testify the proposed algorithm and the experimental result is given and analyzed carefully.
