Design And Implementation Of Artiflow Manager

Data-centered is becoming the new trend in the area of business process management. And the data pertinent to business is called Artifact. ArtiFlow is a logic model of Artifact-centric business process. In the studying of Artifact oriented business process management, it is the first and key problem to manage the ArtiFlow model. The problem of management of ArtiFlow model includes model designing, examining and optimization. At the same time, the management of ArtiFlow model is the key of designing and implementing of ArtiFlow Manager. In this paper, based on the introduction of the concept of business process management, Artifact and Artifact system, ArtiFlow, etc, the following three aspects of management problem are studied.Firstly, in the studying of model designing. The ArtiFlow model and its basic elements are described formally, then the method and rules of designing ArtiFlow model are proposed. According to the characteristics appearing in the key Artifact's lifecycle, two basic structures of concurrent and serial are summarized.Secondly, about studying of model examining, On the semantic examining aspect, based on the partition of Artifact attributes, a method of validating lifecycle reachability of the key artifact is proposed. In addition, through analyzing of connectors included in the service element, the examination of persistence and unique existence of Artifact in ArtiFlow model is realized. On the syntax examining aspect, a method is proposed to examine the integrity of model by transforming it to a undirected graph and then check its connectedness.Thirdly, in the model optimization aspect. A optimization method based on the chain of service events is presented, and optimization algorithm is given. In addition, from the perspective of model dealing the change of future demands, the standard of model optimization is presented, and calculating formula is given.Finally, according to three aspects of ArtiFlow model management research, the software dedicated to manage ArtiFlow is developed and realized——ArtiFlow Manager. Then from the perspective of model designing, examining and optimization , the ArtiFlow Manager is tested, and the results of testing are analyzed.
