Podcast Phenomena Research Based On Network Communication

Podcast , which emerged in the year of 2004,did not get societal notice when it came into being. However, it has great implications being the representative of internet and new media nowadays. Someone reckons that it upturns traditional viewing and tuning manner. To some extent, it can be considered the upgrade and promotion of traditional media. Nevertheless, as most of the new things in the world, there are a number of problems going with it's rocketing development, which draw great attention by the public.As it's been a short period of time since it'nativity, research output of our domestic academia in this field appears to be shallow, and academic opinions are distracted , as well as being short of thorough and in-depth exploration. Yet it's implications and significances are meaningful and gigantic to the field of mass communication which should be emphasized by our academia. This essay takes advantage of theories of communication, law and sociology, exploring correlated problems using both qualitative and quantitative methods according to research on literatures, phenomenon description as well as case analysis.The article consists of three parts—introduction, main text and epilogue. Introduction is mainly about the background, research objective and implication , as well as the research method.The first chapter looks retrospectively on the development history about podcast and sheds light on it's new manifestation and features. Meanwhile it unscrambles the classic theories of mass communication.. The second chapter investigates podcasting video websites ,analyzing and decoding it's development course and content change. The third chapter discusses the challenge on traditional mass media posed by podcasting, as well as it's implications and significance in new communication culture. The fourth chapter analyzes a series of problems brought by the rapid development of podcastin. The fifth chapter puts forwards the benign development course of it taking use of theories of law .To sum up, The epilogue briefs and summarizes the whole essay.
