The Tianjin radio & television satellite earth station was founded in 1998, located in the medium wave transmitter of Yangliuqing town, Xiqing district. It is well approved by fraternity due to its major breakthrough in Technical characteristics and innovations. Because of restrictions on Technical policy, the Ku-band equipments were originally installed in satellite earth station of Tianjin. As a result, the transmission of signals generated a number of questions. After several years of operating experience, only part of the system structure need to be further optimized. After careful research the Tianjin Radio and Television Satellite Earth Station was renovated and expanded in 2003.C-band transponders of the Asia 3S satellite can cover Asia, the Middle East, Australia and nearly 53 countries and regions of the CIS. TJTV programs which satellite transmit can enlarge coverage area, by means of reconstruction and improvement project, at the same time, also can play a role in publicizing Binhai New Area of Tianjin.C-band systems in the construction process, taking account of satellite transmission characteristics, the System reserves the capacities to transmit two sets of television programs, so the system make a simple adjustment to take advantage of MCPC way transmitting the two sets of television programs via satellite.The system can be adapted to operate for 24 hours without a break. All equipments and each link are isolated, for example, the coded, multiplexing, modulation, signal transmission, the high-frequency systems and satellite antennae. The system applies master/standby equipments. When one way is maintained, another way can completely independently operate.System owns a strong anti-interference capability, which provides a 1:13KW high-power amplifier, once is disturbed, system can increase the power to suppress interference and enhance the system's anti-interference capability. Since we have two different systems, we have the added advantage of anti-interference.The aim of construction of the project is high starting point, high-quality, advanced and the principle of frugality. We had sufficiently investigated, repeatedly argued, extracted experience and lesson of the other units before determining the technical program. We had finished system design, equipment installation and system debugging on our own. Through accomplishing the project, it trained us. we shall prepare ourselves for safety, high quality broadcast and bigger tasks in the future.
