Previously, the customer and price information management of PetroChina Southwest Company had been done manually with paper documentation. There was no centralized management for customer information, and only those salesmen of individual sales department had the information, so the administrators had no idea of the detailed costumer information. There were no statistics and analysis for the uses and development of our products, and the information of our competitive product storages and sales strategy changes had not been reported in time. All of these caused our administrators were not able to know and master our customers information in detail.The price of our products were decided by the employees who in charge of the price management after daily price meeting and needed to be approval by the leaders of different levels. It took a lot of time for the salesmen and the accountants to get the price. In the situation when the leaders were not available to do the approval, the price information then could not be issued. There was no specific price analysis system so it is hard for the leaders to get the price information in time.With the fast development of the information management system of CNPC, the customer and price information management methods of PetroChina Southwest Company have been hindered the business development of our company. For the purpose of fully mastering the price and price changes information of our own products, the information of prices, storages and sales strategy of our competitors, and for the purpose of providing basis for selling and price making, normalizing business dispute settlement, giving more effective technology support, and for the reason that company leaders can get the information in time, SWCM decided to build a price management system so as to unify our information on customer, products uses, customer development and those information of our price, storage and sales strategy.In this paper, a Price Information System Developing Platform which suitable for PetroChina Southwest Company was put forwarded by the study of the popular software developing platform (J2EE platform and .NET platform), software demanding and the demanding analysis theory were studied, diagrams of price information system were constructed using the UML Language. For better describing the goal, meaning and technique of the price information system, business processes were deeply researched and analysised by the using of flow diagrams, in addition, the methods of business processing and implement were put forwarded.Also in this paper, the function, structure and implementation of the price information system were widely stated. Through researching the information of basis customer, the using of our products and our customer development, a customer information management method was put forwarded. Through the research of price information, a precise and timely price and price changes information management method had been put forwarded. Through the study of business dispute settlement process, a business dispute settlement method was provided.Finally, in this paper, the detailed design and implication processes of the Price Information System were introduced with some examples. The system provided an important technique support for PetroChina Southwest Company customer information management, price information management and business dispute management. The system has been proved successful in real applications, and has been a significant reference for other chemical sales companies.
