On "narrative Breakpoint" In Contemporary Chinese Disaster News Reporting

With the emergence of human history, narrative emerged. Through the exchange and transmission of information about the events, the human could reach the understanding of nature and society, thereby promote social development. The fact is the origin of information, the propagation of news and information is actually about the process that people describe the facts, so "Narrative" is a major way of information dissemination, Well-known journalist MuQing felt that "News is a narrative.In the narrative, we often see the concept about"breakpoint", which refers to the subjectivity of a narrator with the omission or vacancies of a narrative text in the process of the narrative. News Narrative breakpoint is the basic means when reporters complete various news text, by which means some information can be enhanced, while others weakened or obscured.According to different criteria, the"breakpoint"is divided into "temporary breakpoint" and "permanent breakpoints", "conscious breakpoints" and "unconscious breakpoint", etc. From the following three aspects: the narrators, the production process of narrative text and the media's editorial policy to analyze the breakpoint is how to produce, and on the basis of a large number of disaster news texts, this paper summarizes the narrator set the breakpoints in the texts in terms of the narrative perspective, narrative time and narrative structure mainly. In the disaster coverage, the appropriate breakpoint can accurately convey the disaster information and appease people's fear in the same time, which acts an important role in disaster relief work and social stability. However, a variety of subjective and objective reasons, such as the party and the government propaganda policies, the Western news values, the dominant culture and ideology, professional quality of journalists would affect the journalists to choose the perspective and focal point of the disaster , leading to "breakpoint misconduct" phenomenon, which will lead to low reproduction of news events, so the readers would re-creat the news text when they are reading ,that is, what we often say "misunderstanding", which is not only contrary to the principle of real news , but may cause a "yeast effect" of rumors, which is the taboo in disaster news. How to use the breakpoint rationally in the disaster news texts to reach the optimal effect of propagation, this article put forward three suggestions as "enhanced sense of audience", "enhance the professionalism of journalists" and "strengthen the reform of informational system".
