Temperature monitoring and control in people's real-life production and applications has become more widely applied in many places, in those situations,temperature requirements are very strict, so the effectiveness of real-time monitoring of temperature data, and control is an important issue that must be addressed.This project is a computer controlled, real time ,multi-point temperature monitoring and control system, can be applied to a variety of application where temperature data can be collected. The system uses ModBus network design. Temperature collection terminals are in the form of smart terminal through RS485/RS232 converter to connect to the host, the communication between the system host and the collection terminal are in query mode, temperature collection and data transmission reliability are ensured by using of curve correction, CRC, and other means. Finally, monitoring software that has the ability of real-time monitoring, alarming, controlling, searching the historical data and the temperature curve ,displaying and printing are developed using Visual Basic 6.0.
