Ad Hoc network (wireless self-organization network) is composed of a set of wireless transceiver with the mobile node consisting of a multiple hops temporary autonomous systems, and each mobile node has two functions with host and router. Ad Hoc networks have broad application prospects in military field and disaster relief, sensor network, a remote field applications. But the nodes in Ad Hoc network are usually supplied energy through the batteries with limited capacity. As the performances of network terminal are promoted and functions are continuously improved, it will need more and more energy consumption and high requirement. The energy issues of Ad Hoc network will be widely applied to the bottleneck. Meanwhile, the nodes of Ad Hoc network can constantly voluntary movement, the topology of the network is always in dynamic changes on mobile Ad Hoc networks. The mobile Ad Hoc has all the qualities as same as the wireless systems which makes the network security problem is more complicated than traditional cable network.AODV protocol is a kind of routing protocols in Ad Hoc network which is widely applied.In this thesis,we will analysis and research on the status of research both at home and abroad carefully and earnestly.In view of the current existing various routing protocols in Ad Hoc network and on the based of deep research on AODV and cross layer mechanism, we proposed a kind of CE-AODV routing algorithms, which make the nodes use the least transmisson power and the total energy consumption is the least when they are sending data. We utilizes the backup routing mechanism to avoid source node send route requests frequently and prolong the network surial. Based on the above analysis, we put forward a kind of CE-AODV safety improvement scheme CES-AODV which make the algorithm has the effect on energy saving and security.At the end of the thesis,we use the simulation tool NS2 to simulate on CE-AODV algorithm and classic AODV algorithm. The simulation results show that the CE-AODV algorithm is superior than the AODV algorithm on delivery rate, end-to-end delay and survive node number.
