Wcdma And Gsm Wireless Network Interoperability Optimization

Since May 2009, China Unicorn's key cities in the country have completed the first phase of WCDMA network construction. However, breadth and depth of its coverage is still a considerable gap between WCDMA network and the existing GSM network. Full use of existing GSM network resources for achieving the rapid distribution network of China Unicorn's WCDMA network is important.In the long period of time, we should adhere to the principle of one network, and GSM networks to WCDMA networks achieved through mutual operation between the network coverage extension and load balancing, WCDMA networks and GSM networks to achieve coordinated development.The principle of interoperability optimization shall be performed as follows: Reduce the existing GSM/GPRS network upgrade and reduce the number of switching between systems occur, try to let users enjoy the WCDMA 3G network services, using GSM/GPRS network to expand the coverage of WCDMA networks,3G users to maintain business continuity.I combine the different circumstances of the actual test, the selection of a typical representative of different scenarios. Cover the edge of the scene with WCDMA, WCDMA weak continuous coverage within the coverage area scenario (empty), the indoor scenes and indoor elevator fading scenarios. In the typical scenario, refer to different combinations of parameters, on the idle mode 2G/3G two-way re-election, CS Field 3G to 2G handover, PS Field 2G/3G switching to mass two-way test. Summary of test results to determine interoperability strategy, combined with previous experience on the different scenes set different parameters, obtained WCDMA/GSM interoperability guidance for sub-scenario parameters. Finally, I combine their actual work experience, summed up the 2G/3G interoperable workflow optimization.Paper to solve the existing network problems are all the scenes come with a set of baseline parameters set, without considering the differences of different scenarios, and to solve the mismatch problem about parameters of switching and the re-election, and to solve the mismatch between the switching parameters problems.
