Due to lack of IPv4 addresses, IPv6 technology is the core technology of next generation Internet. At the same time, how to solve the IPv6 network routing problems, a smooth transition on the campus network from IPv4 to IPv6, the application of the IPv6 routing protocols is the current hot spot of network research.This paper is tied in JiangXi Technical College of Manufacturing Campus Network's present and the transition plan in the future, analyzing and comparing the basic principles of RIPng and OSPFv3, which are two typical IGP routing protocols; And to the campus network to IPv6 transition instance-based, analyzing the application and configuration of the RIPng and OSPFv3 routing protocol.This paper mainly adopts comparative analysis method to study the RIP routing protocols and OSPF routing protocol on the basis of IPv4 and IPv6, adopting on-the-spot investigation method to analyze the JiangXi Technical College of Manufacturing Campus Network's actual situation, adopted experimental inspection method operating network transition technology and the application of routing protocol.In the final, analyzed the reasonable scheme to the Jiang Xi Technical College of Manufacturing Campus Network's IPv6 transition and routing protocol application technology, founded IPv6 transition needs to complicated process and the application characteristic of routing protocol different from in IPv4.
