Nowadays the human civilization has advanced to the information age. The building is no longer a place for avoiding the wind and rain. Modern information technology gives the building inspirit, making it intelligent. It realizes the harmonious state between man and nature by distributing of all types of resources. The research on smart home has been to the hot topic worldwide.Traditional smart home generally controlled the appliance by installing wire line circuit. Not only this method made people have the trouble in separating from kinds of line and cost much on installation, but also the extension of system was very bad. The smart home based on wireless technology not only cast off the restraint of line and reduce the cost of installation, but also made the extension of system enhance much. Therefore the research on smart home system based on wireless is very essential to the development of smart home.In this thesis it took research on the environment monitoring technology and controlling system of Smart Home. According to the characteristics of Smart Home system and the shortcomings that existing in the system, it designed a kind of new system, which was based on the technique called 2.4G multi-hop and ad-hoc wireless sensor network. In this system, the information of physical environment was collected by sensor node, and then which sent them to sink node and controlling node via wireless multi-hop network. The sink node sent the data to upper computer via wireless multi-hop network or internet. For communicating between human and machine conveniently, it designed a Smart Home Online Management System. As long as the system was opened on upper computer, it can offer the functions such as data-gathering, equipment-displaying and controlling of the network.The main content of this thesis includes following parts:Firstly, it analyzed the OSI protocol model, and designed the Applicable network protocol;Secondly, it designed the wireless network hardware part and presented the circuit of the smart home system in detail.Finally, it designed the software of the system and the Smart Home Online Management System Web.
