With the development of information and network technology, the traditional way of reading cannot satisfy the mass reading need of readers. Owing to the immature technology and environment, it develops slowly although it has a dozen years of history. However, with the birth of Amazon Kindle, the whole world is setting off an upsurge of using E-Book. And in this period it has been greatly improved both in function and reading experience. So the industry of E-Book now has entered a new era.Starting from the definition of E-Book, this thesis elaborates the development processes of E-Book and their characteristics in different periods. And based on the current situation of E-Book industry and in the light of the theory of communication and management, it analyzes the problems existed in E-Book industry and its business model, and proposes the suggestions and countermeasures. Finally, this thesis also introduces the concept of integrating telecom, radio and TV, and Internet networks, analyzes the development trend of E-Book under the new background, and structures the new business model on that basis.The integration of the three networks promotes the development of E-Book industry enormously. It can drive the whole industry chain including content provider,service provider,exchange carrier and device manufacturer, helped them to extend their economic interests. For the consumers, the integration of the three networks diversifies the transmitting channels, changes people's reading habits. E-Book has become the mainstream way of reading. The E-book will be improved not only in the way of production organization of content, but also in expression way of terminal in the future. It will become the multimedia terminal mixed with reading, amusement and interaction according to the needs of consumers instead of the supporting body of content. It will have much broader market prospects.
