RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) has been widely used. However, Book Management System, based on RFID is not prevalent in Chinese colleges. The main reasons for it are high cost, heavy workload of maintenances and upgrades. The book management system of Vocational College of Agriculture is based on Bar Code Identification. Problems arise when using this system, such as slow blowing and returning, and low work efficiency. This study is done to develop a book management system based on RFID in order to increase the book management efficiency of Vocational College of Agriculture. The main studies are listed as follows:1. To decide overall objectives and the design of frame of the system. In addition, to determine the hardware and software based on the principle of low cost and high efficiency.2. The reader-writer and electronic tag with power of0.2w and frequency of13.56MHz are used in the study. So the test for reader-writer to read the information of electronic tag can be done. 3. To finish the program design of system foreground and background. To finish the design frame of following tables in database can be read:book blowing and returning record, library card user, book information, book cover, and book tax logy, with the goal to make new book registration, book classification, borrowing and returning management, library card management and information management in good running.4. To integrate hardware and software and to test the whole system. The result of the test shows:the system can be run in good condition; can manage book in stock, book classification, borrowing and returning of books, library cards, information inquiry and system registration. The RFID reader has100%recognition rates within the valid range. This BMS possess high security, and compatibility with various browsers and resolution.
