The fingerprint identification technology is a kind of important personal identification means,as well as the most widely used biological characteristic identification technology at present.Along with the developing of computers and microelectronics technology,fingerprint identification technology based on embedded is received more attention and investigation from people,causing embedded fingerprint identification system widespread applied in the fields of financial security,e-commerce,and safety inspection etc.To remove the noises from the image and turn it into a clear point chart,the image must be pre-processed before the fingerprint is recognized.The purpose of the pre-processing is to extract the correct fingerprint characteristics and enhance the image identifiability.Fingerprint pre-processing technology is the foundation of fingerprint identification system.At the same time it's a key for efficient fingerprint identification.In this paper, research and implementation fingerprint pre-processing algorithm based on ARM.This article focuses on studies of the fingerprint image pre-processing algorithms were normalized, image segmentation, image Gabor filtering enhancement, binarization, thinning and other key technologies. The traditional normalization algorithm analysis, has improved its proposed using dynamic sub-block approach to normalization of the fingerprint image. Ensure that residential area in different gray mean and variance of a greater consistency.In fingerprint image segmentation stage, the first study of image segmentation based on gray variance method, followed by to improve it and put forward the fingerprint image is divided into many blocks smaller than the width of the small ridge, then use variance and the gradient of variance between the characteristics of the product as a new map to segmet the original image.In fingerprint image enhancement stage, in this paper, a single direction and a combination of multi-directional approach to Gabor filtering enhancement. This paper studies the pre-processing algorithms in MATLAB software for the experiment results show that the pre-processing algorithms can be used to achieve the desired requirements.Structure and working principle of ARM processor-PXA270 and fingerprint capture sensor MBF200 to a certain degree of learning, and the use of MBF200 as the core produced the fingerprint acquisition module of USB interface. On the software side, cutting the Linux operating system, the use of QT fingerprint pretreatment system is designed graphical interface, and transplanted the operating system, fingerprint pre-processing algorithm to the target platform, the ultimate in a friendly graphical interface enables fingerprint pre-processing algorithms based on ARM.
