Since the biological characteristics applied to identity recognition technology, fingerprint identification technology has become a relatively stable, mature and widely used methods of authentication. At present, research of fingerprint identification technology has achieved good results, and has been widely used, especially high quality fingerprint recognition, but in practical applications for low quality fingerprint recognition has exposed many shortcomings, influence the accuracy of fingerprint identification system. Therefore, for low quality fingerprint identification technology in-depth study is of great significance. This paper fingerprint identification technology is the key to enhance the fingerprint image has thorough research, the main work and results are as follows:(1) Analysis of the basic principles of fingerprint identification and key technology, in-depth analysis of the fingerprint image enhancement technology.(2) A comprehensive analysis of the Gabor filter enhancement method, analysis the square Gabor filter on fingerprint image enhancement process to produce block effect by HWJ, and based on the circular Gabor filter algorithm for fingerprint image enhancement, effectively eliminating the square Gabor filter the block effect.(3) Through the square and circular Gabor filter Gabor filter comparative and qualitative analysis, from a theoretical study of the circular Gabor filter advantage.(4) Analysis of the classification based on point pattern matching method, the identification algorithm for the image enhancement algorithm for analysis of the experiment, experiment using FVC2004fingerprint image for fingerprint identification simulation.
