| Tao Yuan-ming (? 365-427), is one of the most import litterateurs in the history of Chinese literature. He was a great poet of the Jin Dynasty and also has got great achievement in the filed of prose and Ci-Fu. Although Tao lived as early as 1500years ago, his transcendent writing style and unique manner of life didn't change over time.Tao had spent most of his life in the dark and tangled warfare age of china's feudal, however, he was a man who rises unsullied from mud and was not affected by vanity. Tao dreamed of a free, natural and harmonious world, and he created a poetic and ideal life in his works, this kind of living state is just what the modern peple have been longing for. This paper places special emphasis on the elysium in Tao's poems and essays, in order to enter into Tao's ideas and explore the delight of life.The essay concluding three parts.The first part is introduction. It presents a brief introduction to Tao Yuan-ming's life and his detached spiritual plane.The second part mainly studies Tao's elysium. The reading, writing, joy of composing poems, joy of the harp, joy of drinking and joy of the bucolic life in Tao's poems and essays constitute Tao's elysium.The third part expounds the modern value of Tao's elysium. It has certain modern value to the spirit of simple life, harmony and equality. |
