A Study Of The Poems Of The Ming Dynasty

Through literature survey, in-depth understanding and grasping the whole Yuan poem anthologies, I collect and arrange the Yuan poem anthologies selected by Ming. My paper researches Yuan Poem Anthologies selected by Ming on bibliography and poetics, including the anthologies’ record and lost, their inscription and spreading, their authors. These Yuan poem anthologies selected by Ming were not widely spread, less well known. Then, I Study Ming how to choose and criticize Yuan Poems and Yuan poets. By examining these, I can know Ming’s concept on poems. These anthologies have no appraisal Ming gave to Yuan poets and their poems, I can only research from the amount I add up. Ming have mixed reception on Yuan poem. Yuan people want to return to Tang’s purely lyrical element, Ming clearly affirmed this and go along this path. However, the weakening on emotion and surface skill were criticized. Finally, I study the relationship between anthologies and Ming poetics. The anthologies in early of Ming Dynasty praise highly affection and beauty, because they continue liberalism in final of Yuan. Li gun’s Yuan Poem Collection intend to propagate his Tang Poetics.
