"The Studies of Jin Shi" began in the two Song dynasties,and the academic achievements and academic style of this period have had an important impact on the academic world,but the specific content and scope of research encompassed by the concept of "The Studies of Jin Shi" is not clear.It is important to define the meaning about the study of jinshi,which contributes to the scope and direction of "The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Broken Age clearly.Inheriting the legacy of scholarship about "The Studies of Jin Shi" from Song dynasty,in the meantime,taking into account the prevailing cultural and political environment and academic evolution,"The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Yuan and Ming dynasties gradually developed an "aesthetic tendency towards collecting Jin Shi" and "appreciation the art of Jin Shi".However,the current scholarly standard of "The Studies of Jin Shi" is from the textual studies,which has led to a weak study of’The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Yuan and Ming dynasties,which has not yet received sufficient attention and excavation about "The Studies of Jin Shi"in the Yuan and Ming dynasties."The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Yuan and Ming dynasties is an essential part of the history of "The Studies of Jin Shi" in China,and is also a transitional period bridging "The Studies of Jin Shi" of the Song and Qing dynasties.The main types of"The Studies of Jin Shi" writings that best reflect the academic style of "The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Yuan and Ming dynasties,which can be divided into three types:codification,monograph and anthologies.Pan Di’s ShiGuWen YinXun、Tao Zongyi’s Nanchun Dropout Records、Du Mu’s Jin Xie Lin Lang、Zhao Han’s Shi MO Juan Hua、An Shifeng’s Mo Lin Kuai Shi are very important writing,By researching these writing,it can be found that:in addition to inheriting the writings’ type of codification from the Song dynasty,the style of using individual stone carvings as objects of study and of scattering jinshu discourses in anthologies became increasingly strong,presenting a diverse and focused approach to "The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Yuan and Ming dynasties.In the mid and late Ming dynasty,the commodity economy was highly prosperous,and also promoted the prevalence of private appreciation of Jin and Shi,they acquired Jin and Shi relics through purchase,inheritance,gift from friends or exchange,visit,the emperor’s reward,and so on,and the merits of the collection,authenticity and other issues of appreciation,to analysis,examination,making the appreciation of Jin and Shi become a professional work,and the initial establishment of a theoretical system about the identification of Jin and Shi.With the growth of private collectors,the competition between ’Suzhou’ and ’non-Suzhou’ connoisseurs opened up for the purposes of regional cultural prestige,financial gain and the right to speak,and also led to the creation of the ’Suzhou’ group of collectors,including Wen Zhengming,Hua Xia,Xiang Yuanbian,Wang Shizhen,and Zhan Jingfeng,Zhan Jingfeng,Wang Shizhen,Sun Min,Li Rihua and other jinshi scholars embarked on a series of practical explorations and theoretical summaries in order to construct a local and their own discourse on "The Appreciation of Jin Shi".On the whole,the research of Jin Shi in the Yuan and Ming dynasties was outstanding in terms of its achievements in the study about the Laws of Sphragistics,the visitation of Jin Shi and the appreciation of Jin Shi.Moreover,The Scholars of Jin Shi in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,represented by Gu Yanwu,played a role in reflecting on the "The Studies of Jin Shi" in the Ming dynasty and opening up new research methods about "The Studies of Jin Shi",and influenced the approach and direction of The Scholars of Jin Shi in the Qing dynasty.
