Film appreciation and criticism does the entire analysis of the film works through ideological, artistic, and ornamental. The film works can be regarded as an excellent work as they have the three qualities. The style of the film work is also determined by it. Because of the Chinese ethnic minorities'culture is unique, and then its film works also has the same quality which is made the film works of Chinese ethnic minorities play a irreplaceable role in the Chinese film and television industry. However, as the Chinese film industry developed in marketing and industrial age, ethnic minority film works are gradually in trouble. This paper is mainly about how to help the ethnic minority films overcome the difficulty, how to achieve the realization of ideological, artistic, and ornamental in ethnic minority film works, in order to create more excellent works.This paper was divided the ethnic minority film into four stages. The first stage is the reflection of three qualities in ethnic minority films before 1978. The second stage is between 1978 and 1986. At this stage, the ideological liberation movement has created a good development condition for the Chinese film industry, and the film theory has never been more active. The discussion of film ontology, the evolution and innovation of the concept of the film images are also have great influences on the three qualities in ethnic minority films. At the mid-late stage, emerged many exploration films with different styles, with the main of director's sense. It wants to break the dramatic structure, play down the story, and focus on strengthening arts and taste, and pay more attention to displaying the rich and colorful lives of various ethnic minorities in order to enhance the new prospects of ethnic minorities film-making. The third stage is from 1987 to 1999. The debate of entertaining enter into the upsurge in film and television industry, and promote the film institutional reform at the stage. The reform influences on the film of ethnic minority made the ethnic minority films face investment fears. Because of that, our country and the government will help the development of ethnic minority films, and then some commercial films of ethnic minority have emerged. Under the leader of creator of ethnic minority films, initiate a large number of ethic minority film works with national culture and anthropology value, and achieve the unity of three qualities finally. The last stage is from 2000 to present. After we entered into a new century and join the WTO, it promoted Chinese film into industry era. In order to ensure the smooth progress of film and television industry, the State Administration of Radio and Television conveyed the theater system reform. At the same time the face of "globalization" context, part of the film creators has a kind of national consciousness of the tenacious survival of the film., and the big debate of nationality is also come out. By the inspiration of that debate, the directors, as minority status, will focus on the minority original eco-movies with documentary aesthetic. Although these films have great awarding in international, the box is still in embarrassment. Overall, the theme of ethnic minority films has slowly development. My paper will analyze the difficulty of ethnic minority films, and try to find the way to get rid of it.
