Clinical Research On Treating Knee Joint Osteoarthritis With Fume Washings Of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:To investigate the effects of fume washings of traditional Chinese medicine in clinical and approach its mechanism of action. Method:Admission patient that consistent with selected standard will be randomly separated the treatment groups and the control groups. The 60 treatment cases with administration clearing in arthroscope of articular genu, meanwhile combination with fume washings of traditional Chinese medicine, and control group only with clearing in arthroscope of articular genu. In prior treatment, we undertake integral to symptom and objective sign compare with post treatment. And we score to traditional Chinese physician symptom and quality of life quantization, in addition, we evaluate the change of IL-1 level in synovial fluid in the 4 week after post treatment. Result:(1) Evaluation therapeutic effect after 4 weeks of treatment:the experiment group efficiency ratio of 90.00% and apparent efficiency ratio of 65.00% while the control group only had 83.33% and 53.33%. (2) Evaluation presenting symptom and objective sign after 4 weeks of treatment:comparing with prior treatment two groups have amelioration in post treatment about their self comparison, experiment group provided efficacy advantages over control group in therapeutic efficacy. Experiment group's integral amelioration of presenting symptom (rest pain in night and early morning stiffness) and objective sign surpass over control group. The major objective sign score have amelioration, but two groups without significant difference in statistics. (3) traditional Chinese physician symptom and quality of life quantization score after 4 weeks of treatment:Experiment group surpass over control group, two groups comparison have significant difference in statistics. (4) Two groups have not manifest adverse effect. Conclusion:fume washings of traditional Chinese medicine that is utility and safe medicine can treat knee—osteoarthritis, the traditional Chinese medicine external treatment combination with arthroscope clearing technique have certain clinic effect, the therapy method with integrated traditional and western medicine deserve generalization in clinic.
