Research On The Management System Of Pharmacist For Macao

With the economic and social development of Macao, the resident's demands for health care are increasing. In the filed of public health, pharmacist management system plays an important role in Macao to build up and maintain the high-quality technical personnel of pharmacy and has great significance of regulating the professional ethics of the pharmaceutical industry and improving the quality of work.With in-depth research on the pharmacist management system of Macao, this paper explores the characteristic of the pharmacist in developed and adjacent areas in the world and analyzes the current situation of the pharmacist in Macao. A various restrictions are consequently found in the pharmacist management system of Macao, for examples, low requirements of the access of pharmacist qualifications, defective qualifying examination, lack of pre-registration training and practice, and simple continuing education of pharmacist.Combining the theories of public management with the author's experiences of the pharmaceutical industry, this paper proposes to refine the pharmacist examination and registration system and the pre-registration training system, improve the continuing education management, establish a comprehensive pharmacy education system, clarify the responsibilities of pharmacist and improve the professional level and ethics of pharmacist. By taking the above measures, it is positive to let residents enjoying high-quality and professional pharmaceutical services and to put the pharmacist management system of Macao on the track of healthy development to response the resident's demands for health care.
