Objective:To investigate the situation of prenatal anxiety, to explore the factors that related to prenatal anxiety; To observe the effect of prenatal anxiety on the mode of delivery, the time of the stages of labor, intrapartum hemorrhage, neonatal Apgar score, and to study the correlation between prenatal anxiety and delivery outcomes.Method:It was a descriptive study. There were 300 pregnant women were randomly enrolled from three hospitals of Changsha, such as the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Changsha City. The instruments of this survey were self-designed general information questionnaire from these women, Pregnancy Pressure Scale, Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS), State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). The database was set up in SPSS 16.0. Statistical methods included statistical description,t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression tests.Result:(1) The STAI showed that the average state anxiety score of the pregnant wowen was 43.58±10.79, which was significantly higher than the national usual models (P<0.01). and 12.67% of them showed anxiety. (2) Those women in different levels of family income, living conditions, the relationship with husband, mother and mother-in-law, the times of abortions, the prenatal health conditions, friends having or not smooth delivery situation, psychological preparation for childbirth, the times of participating the classes in the school for pregnant women and prenatal smoking had different S-AI score (P<0.05). (3) The average psychological stress level of these pregnant women was mild, the score was 1.63±0.37. The item 2, "stressor arisen about the health and safety of mother and her child" had the highest score, it was the main factor that influenced the degree of psychological stress. There were relationships between the total prenatal pressure, item1, item2, item3, other items and state anxiety(with a relationship index of 0.549,0.435,0.575,0.246,0.334, p<0.001). (4) The total score of social support was 40.77±6.73.The subjective support score of the women was 22.28±4.52, the objective support score was 10.48±3.08, the support employ score was 8.01±1.71. The total score of the social support, the objective support score and the support employ score were found negatively correlated with these women's anxiety level (with a relationship index of-0.189,-0.196,-0.133, P<0.05). (5) The multiple linear regression analysis showed that those factors, such as the item2, the relationship with mother-in-law, the times of abortions, prenatal health conditions, the times of participating the classes in the school for pregnant women, psychological preparation for childbirth, the relationship with mother, the relationship with husband, item3 and iteml were introduced into the equation. (6) The anxiety level between the group who had no gist of cesarean section and the Vaginal delivery group had statistical difference. (P<0.01). (7) The cesarean section were 172 cases in this study. According to the average score of state anxiety, divided them into two groups:high score group and low score group, the study showed that there was a statistical difference between these two groups in intrapartum hemorrhage. (P<0.01). (8) The results showed a statistically significant difference on neonatal Apgar score compared the anxiety group with the no-anxiety group. (P<0.01) Conclusion:(1) It can be drawn that pregnant women were in anxiety. The study showed that some factors have contributed to the anxiety level of the pregnant, such as the item2 of psychological stress, the relationship with mother-in-law, the times of abortions, the prenatal health conditions, the times of participating the classes in the school for pregnant women, psychological preparation for childbirth, the relationship with mother, the relationship with husband, item3 and iteml of psychological stress.
