Objective:to observe the clinical therapeutic effect acupuncture combined with oral administration of TCM decoction on simple diabetic retinopathy.Method:64 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups. The treatment group (32cases) were treated by acupuncture combined with TCM decoction and the control groups (32 cases) were treated by acupuncture.Result:1. Acupuncture combined with TCM decoction group before and after treatment with visual acuity were significantly different(P<0.01).2. Acupuncture combined with TCM decoction group before and after treatment with fundus changes were different(P<0.05).3. The total effective rate was 98.08% in the treatment group and 82.46% in the control groups with a difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with TCM has a better therapeutic effect on simple diabetic retinopathy as compared with that of acupuncture.
