The arbitrary waveform generator is a universal signal source instrument in modern testing field. It can not only generate all kinds of the waveforms that the traditional function waveform generator can do, but also achieve multiple modulation ways, such as sweep, FM, PSK, FSK,AM and so on.This dissertation, which combines the project PXI Arbitrary Waveform Generator,focuses on the high speed and deep memory. The problem that the phase table is hard to achieve deep memory is resolved by means of the QDR technology.The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1.Demonstrates the significance of achieving high speed and deep memory in the arbitrary waveform generator.2.Compares several memory project in the use of data storage. Its solution of high speed and deep memory is put forward.3.Demonstrates the QDR technology and its use in high speed data storage. By means of QDR technology,it makes the sample rate up to 200MHz and deep memory 4M×16bit come true.4.Realizes the function of DDS, synthesizes all kinds of waveform. By means of changing the frequency word, realizes the modulation of FSK,PSK,FM.Direct digital synthesis is selected in the design. On the basis of DDS utilizing FPGA, dual DDS is designed. This method realizes that arbitrary waveform can modulate arbitrary waveform.The highlight of this dissertation is that QDR technology is used in the design of the phase table to make the high speed data storage comes true.
