Yesan River Bridge is a half-through and deck-type unsymmetrical concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge in Yiwan railway, the span of the arch is 124m.The height difference between the tow arch feet is 15.85m. Lattice-type floating system with longitudinal and lateral beams is adopted in the deck and the span assembly is 3×9.75+11.25+10×9.75 (the total length is 138m) .In the domestic and foreign railroad bridge construction history, the bridge type is used for the first time. The adopted type is structurally novel and the mechanical behavior of the structure is complicated. The 1:8 model test and finite element analysis of Yesan River Bridge were finished in the paper, main work is as follows:1,A 1:8 model was made according to the similarity theory. The simulation experiments and the finite element analysis were finished under different kinds of loads.2,By analysing the results of experiments and the results of finite element analysis, the deformation and loading-carrying behavior of the bridge were studied. The mechanical behavior of the bridge was evaluated.3,The distribution coefficients of loads among 5 pieces of beams were got. The distribution coefficient is different under different kind of loads; the distribution coefficient in different panel is different in the same load case.4,The influences of the horizontal displacement of arch feet on the deformation and mechanical behavior of arch ribs and longitudinal beams were studied. The results show that the influences on stress of arch ribs and beams is neglectable, but the influence on vertical displacement of arch ribs is notable.5,The influences on the longitudinal beams' stress caused by different rigidity of hangers were studied. The results show that the influence on displacement of arch ribs and beams by the rigidity of hangers is unconspicuous, but the influence on the stress of longitudinal beams is notable. If increasing the rigidity of hangers, the moment and the stress of the longitudinal beams around the steel crossbeam will be reduced. The production of this paper provide references for design of Yesan River Bridge and for other similar structures.
