Study Of The Physical Space Of The Vitality Of The Community

In company with Chinese reform and opening, the development of market economy and the coming of Quick-urbanization, social structures of cities have been changed significantly, especially a series of updating of housing conditions like the developing mode of urban houses changing from welfare housing to commercial housing, etc. have changed the community configuration unavoidably. Former community configuration, traditional life style and interaction mode which were kept through ages of accumulation are destroyed out and out along with the dying out of old community frame and the reorganization of new community. Many communities have complete facilities, convenient life, beautiful environment, but lack of vitality they ought to have, so they are hard to meet people's demands of sense of security, trust and emotion.Through the phenomenon of present community lacking of vitality, this article takes the study from aspects like social structure, developing mode, supply and demand mode, design action, etc. to find out the reason for the lacking of vitality. And by taking the study of changes of life style, behavioral model, psychological need, etc. of inhabitants of communities under the new social conditions, it also makes an in-depth exploration on the prime mover and various basic elements of exciting community vitality. Based on this, this article puts emphasis on study of physical space's effects on exciting community vitality, that is to say through layout and architectural design, how to provide physical places for community activities, neighborhood interaction, and how to lead and excite community vitality through the places.Finally, this article brings forward a design reason led by community vitality through several relatively successful case analyses and the author's actual engineering practice in design institute, and it's hoped to give some revelations to the creation of modern community layout.
