Yangtze River Delta is located in the intersection of the China's coastal economy belt and along the Yangtze River economy belt.with unique geographical advantage, the ports of Yangtze River Delta are the link to foreign exchange and connection of Yangtze River Delta and the upper and middle reaches.Yangtze River basin is one of the most vigorous and potential economy region in China.It not only has developed export-oriented economy,producing lots of container cargo,but also it is the most important economy hinterland of the container hinge port of Yangtze River Delta. The container cargo of Yangtze River valley has important effect on the development of the Yangtze River Delta port.The construction of Yangshan port and Hangzhou Bay Bridge will have a major and far-reaching impact on the Yangtze River Delta region economy development and the port container transportion.It not only changes the land and water transport patterns in Yangtze River Delta and along Yangtze River region,but also will lead to re-delimit economy hinterland of Yangtze River Delta container hinge ports,thereby influences on the change of hinge ports'logistics corridors.This article details at the Yangtze River Delta the Yangtze River valley's economy status quo and the economy characteristics of different provinces(economy regions).It analyses the economy future trends and the demand for the container transport of the Yangtze River basin.To further study the relations between the container hinge ports'container throughput in the Yangtze River Delta and volume of export trade in the Yangtze River valley.On the basis of full informative data,the article makes a mathematical regression model,through regression theory , derive a precise regression equation:Y=182.2927+0.722306X.Using the regression equation,it forecasts the container throughput from 2008to2010.The article introduces the main container ports'status in Yangtze River Delta and discusses the further development conditions and the competitive posture of container ports in Yangtze River region.On this basis,it analyses the main container ports'development positioning.The results indicate that Shanghai port and Ningbo port are the hinge ports of the Yangtze River region.In accordance with the relevant layout,Suzhou port will be the major container port in the region and the rest ports will be the feeder ports or the branch ports.As the first stage construction of Yangshan port has been completed,it will have an large effect on the pattern of the river feeder container transportation in Yangtze River and land container transportation in Yangtze River Deltal region.After Hangzhou Bay Bridge completed, the land transportation distance will change,the change will impact on the container flows around Hangzhou Bay.Currently,the Yangtze River Delta hinterland's economy structure will change accordingly,it will lead to the change of...
