Lb (cold Mix Cold Shop) Asphalt Pavement Repair Research

As one of the most important daily maintenance tasks, the pavement pit mending can be conducted under normal temperature, such as cold mix and cold coat, which serves as a practical technique pursued by road researchers for long time. LB asphalt developed by Sichuan Highway Science & Technology CO., LTD can meet the technical requirements of cold mix and cold coat applied in pavement pit patching. Through a great deal of tests and research, the product was proved to be effective. With the development from LB asphalt to LB mixtures, a set of LB mending technique of high-quality was finally formed.The technical features of LB asphalt material and the strength formation characteristics of LB mixtures were firstly introduced in the subject. Through tests in laboratory and place, such technical standards as Marshall stability, high-temperature stability, water stability and unconfined compressive strength of LB mixtures were analyzed, and the pavement mending performance of LB mixtures and the rules that the initial strength and formed strength of the mixtures vary with age and curing temperature were researched as emphasis. At last, through analysis on production and project application of LB mixtures, a set of LB mending technique that can be directly applied in pavement pit mending was summarized.
