With the rapid deveolpment of the information technique, modem war's position is turnning from the platen-centric war which based on resources to the network-centric w ar which worked in coordination, and the core of the later is information interoperation. There are multiform datatypes in target database. Then how to make full use of and i ntegrate the various information resources in it, so that it could met disparate requiemen ts, is becoming a sticking point in it's development. This study includes the following contents. First, it analyses the current target datab ase building status and the trends of Geospatial development on the network. Then, bas ed on the related standards and techniques on Web service, together with OGC (Open GIS Consortium) and ISO TC 211's related standard on Geospatial Web service, it bringforward a method to organize the data in target database using XML format. Futhermo re, it exhibits the generic applied forms of the data. In the Last, according to the OGC s standards on Geospatial Web service, it designed the interface of application service, a nd set up a basic application service mode which using the data in the target database. So that we could settle up some problems that existing in current target database appli cation system, thereby it can do more good to military's information developments.Geospatial Web service is a new research field, it touches upon a large scope, relat ed standards, agreements and application study are still in the deveolping, thus the prim ary discuss and study in this thesis about mode of Geospatial Web service and other re lated aspects about it is hard to avoid oversights and deflections, which need to be furt her deveolped and perfected.
