Study Of Color Design Methods For Mass Customization Of Information Appliances

During the phase of mass customization design process, the method of products design based on communicate and comprehend between designers and mass of clients is an imperative problem, which seriously blocks the industrialization of mass customization design.This paper stems from a project of 863 Program in the Tenth Five-Year Plan Period (Type A) named "Research on Key Technology of 3D Digital Customized Design for Information Domestic Appliances" (No. 2002AA411120) and Natioal natural science fund named "A Study of Product Design Process Coupled with Multi-Perception Factors" (No. 50275122). Based on the theory of industrial design, using Object-Oriented technology, Modularity technology, the method of Color Customized Design for Information Domestic Appliances is studied.The paper based on fundamental theory of color and principle of color configuration, builds case database of customization requests-oriented, carrying color configuration through case retrievaling, reusing, revising, achieve project of design and retain the case database in time. Proposing the method of color configuration case-based; establishing color case database of customization requests-oriented and semantic-based case indexing.
