| In this paper, the development of Switched Reluctance Motor Drive (SRD) is introduced, and the basic structure and characteristic of SRD are provided. The characteristic and operation principle of switched reluctance motor are analyzed in detail, and the mathematical model of switched reluctance motor is built. According to the variation of its inductance, winding current and torque at different stage, the following control method is used: varying angle control and voltage chopping on high-speed; fixed angle current chopping control on low-speed. Two-closed-loop scheme that includes a current loop and a speed loop and the fuzzy control arithmetic are adopted in the controller.The 8/6 pole, 5.5Kw SRM is utilized as the research object. By introducing and comparing general power conversion circuits, power conversion circuit with the least switch-component is adopted in the system. IGBT is used as the main switch-component whose drive circuit is EXB841, and the correlative parameters are analyzed and calculated. The controller is designed by using the TMS320F240 as the main control unit, and it has the function of over-current, over-voltage and under-voltage protections.Experiments show that, the system design is rational, the control method and control strategy are correct and effective. The system runs stable and reliable, and meets the requirement. |
