Switched Reluctance Motor Drives (SRD) is a new type speed regulation system developed in last century, followed direct current motor drive and asynchronism motor frequency conversion drive, which combines power electronics technology ,microelectronics technology, modern control technique. SRD has both advantages of direct current motor drive and asynchronism motor frequency conversion drive. Because of the advantages of vast speed regulating range, good mechanical properties excellent starting and braking performance and high efficient, it has become one of the most popular topics in the current fields of electric drive.This thesis carried out study of Switched Relucance Motor Drives system, based on"The study on mining flameproof switched reluctance motor drives", one part of"Energy conservation technology of mining motor"(Serial number: 2008BAF34B00). Which is supported by National Technology R&D program during the 11th Five-Year plan, taken by ShanXi Explosion-proof motor(Group)CO.,LTD.In this paper, the development of Switched Reluctance Motor Drive(SRD), the basic structure and characteristic of SRD are introduced. Followed up, what study is provided in this paper. The second section, Switched Reluctance Motor, basic structure of SRD and working principle are introduced. The linear mathematical model of SRD is established, followed the three mathematical model of SRD was introduced. Analyzed the control methods of CCC, APC , Voltage Pwm control on SRM, and choosing two kind of control methods fit for the system: low speed chopped current wave control and high speed Angular Position Control. As control strategy, we put forward the control strategy of speed-current double loop. The current loop as the inside loop, the speed loop as the out loop in PI control strategy. Follow the control method and strategy, made the mathematical model of SRD used independent blocks under matlab/simulink, and simulation. The current and voltage waveform has been tested by the waveform of simulation.In the hardware section, the characteristic of TMS320LF2407(DSP for motor control, made in TI CO), as the main control-core for hardware design. Kinds of power converter circuit of SRD and their advantages/disadvantages are discussed and compared in this thesis, think about the development of SRD. Asymmetric Bridge converter as the system converter, power transistor is selected. At the same time, the circuit of current detection, voltage detection, speed detection, doubling frequency, interface/display are designed. In software section, the modular program can make the program universal and readable, useful for test and development.Finally, the drive and current of SRM are tested in different speed.
