The Key Technology Of The Flat Plate-shaped Cam Cad / Cam System

Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing technology is a new method of design developing as quickly as the technology of computer software and computer hardware. With the rapid development of computer technology, the technology of CAD/CAM used in mechanical field more and more extensively. The period of developing product was shorten and process accuracy was risen greatly.The technology of design cam contour and process cam is the hinge technology in manufacturing cams. The traditional method of design and process technology cann't satisfy the accuracy requirement of cam contour's designing and processing. CAD/CAM technology used in cam contour designing ,which will improve accuracy greatly.But ,so far, the technology of CAD/CAM hasn't used in cam parts effectively. And software about cam seldom seen in software market .So researching and developing about the CAD/CAM system of cam is a key problem. VB language used in this paper to develop the cam contour CAD/CAM system .the research result is briefed as follows:(1)Entering cam contour basic parameters, then compute the coordinate value of point on cam contour, the value will be used for numerically controlled milling process; (2) Taking the dynamics power mechanics of cam contour into account, and checkout the results; (3)Drawing cam contour outline profile, drawing shift,velocity curve and accelerated speed curve;(4) designing accurate cam contour profile use the system , improve the accuracy greatly;(5)Complete code conversion, prepared for numerically controlled processing.
