Hydraulic manifold block(HMB) schemes are used more and more widely in hydraulic driving and controlling fields. But there are still many shortages in the way of HMB design nowadays. After studying and absorbing the research achievements at home and abroad, based on the previous work, the intelligent optimizing design system's research and development to HMB for board valves is carried on. The paper tries exploring theories and realizations of HMB CAD techniques, solving some problems in design process, and improving the design level.By analyzing general design techniques, the paper improves some weak parts. A new volume cutting algorithm is brought forward to make blocks smaller and closer to actual use.Develop HMB design integrated environment in MDT. Achieve design schemes' three-dimensional display, automatic optimizing design process monitoring and schemes' modification via human-computer interaction. The tools for components shape interference checking up, holes connecting and their security examining are imported to the integrated environment to check up human-computer interaction result in time.Study genetic algorithm(GA) operating mechanism, improve GA and present new arithmetic operators upon HMB design characteristics. Select different operators and their combinations to design a manifold block instance. After comparing the experiment data, some GA arithmetic operators and other parameters that fit HMB design are gained and can be recommended in future.Discuss the means that human-computer interaction design assists automatic optimizing design. Realize the two design mode switching and their communicating. Affected or guided by human-computer interaction design results, the optimizing design process is accelerated, the design efficiency and effect are improved.The system is developed based on MDT platform. The automatic optimizing design module is developed using Visual C++ programming language, which embodies HMB design portions by GA programming. The human-computer interaction design module is developed using ObjectARX tools, which realizes schemes display and modification, etc. in MDTenvironment. Integrating two modes-automatic optimizing design and human-computerinteraction design in one environment, realizing their dynamic communication and cooperation are useful exploration of HMB CAD techniques.
