Vibratory roll has been used for more than sixty years, and vibratory compaction has become the most conventional compaction mode. However, at present the Heavy Rammer method is still used to determine the standard of compactness and molding specimen by still compressive force in laboratory testing. Which leads to the inconsistency of compaction mode between field compaction and laboratory compaction. Directed against the lack of laboratory equipment that can simulate field vibratory compaction, a vibratory compaction apparatus that can simulate the mechanical structure of vibratory roll, and can regulate vibratory parameters, is developed through the analysis of influence factors of field compaction effect for vibratory roll, such as structure parameters and vibration parameters. On the basis of vibratory compaction test using Silt, which is difficult to compaction and Cement-stabilized Soil, which is the most conventional semi-rigid material, the influence regularity of vibratory parameters such as Amplitude, Frequency, Centrifugal Force, Intensity of Pressure, Time of Vibratory and material factors such as Water Content is studied. Vibration parameters under the condition of good compaction and the idea for the laboratory test method are also put forward in this paper.
