In accordance with the thermal power torpedo propulsion system using HAPtri-component fuel, the paPer stlldies the modem analysis and design method of theengine-----the finite element method. As a powerful compute tool, through halfcentury developing, the finite element mothod has becoming more applied and hasmore and more imPortan flmtion in almost all engineerings design field. The designof engine's pats is one of the fields that aPllied the finite element method firstly. TheaPplication of the finite element method can forcast the intensity approve thedesign's reliability and shorten the period of the design. In this paper, I attempt toapply Finite Element Method to solve the tempefature field and resultant stress fieldof the Rotory Combustion Chaxnber of Torpedo. A solid finite element model usingI-Deas (Integrated Design Engineering Analysis Software) is presented in this paper.Using this model, the tCmperthee field, resulamt stfess field and deformation havebeen predicted on the complexed boundary conditions. According to the result, thepaPer gives some advices aboul the struture of the chamber.Through applying the CAD software, this paper not only searches after themethods and traits of I-Deas when it is used in solve complicated engineeringproblems. The paPer also offeres useful reference to the reliability design of engine'spalls, and settles a base for realizing the CAM of the engine's parts.
