That both the structure and material of gravity dams and construction means of earth dams are used in roller compacted concrete dams make them increasingly used in water engineerings. This paper, through the comparison of A scheme and B scheme, mainly studies the effect of different pouring temperature on temperature field and temperature stress field of Baise roller compacted concrete (RCC) gravity dam during construction and operation.Three-dimension finite element floating mesh method is used to calculate the temperature field and thermal stress of RCCD in this paper. The basic theory includes heat conduction theory,elastic theory and corresponding finite element calculation equation. In order to simulate the effect of construction means and concrete pouring temperature and outside temperature on temperature field and stress field in the dam, according to the construction means of RCC, temperature field and stress field are calculated every time one layer of concrete is poured.So, the calculation step during construction is 0.25 day, and, because during construction the diffusion of hydration heat of concrete is over and elastic modulus is basically stable, changeable step is used. In the initial of operation, calculation step is 0. 5 day , and gradually, it reaches 30 days so as to reduce calculation work strength in the premise of guarantee calculation precision.Because of the complexity of calculation result datas, and in order to simplify the analysis of results, this paper only provides annual temperature isoline map of January, April, July and Oct during construction, 'temperatureisoline map of the first, fifth, tenth, twentieth and thirtith year during operation, duration curve of temperature and stress of typical point, and the maximal and minimal temperature and the maximal pulling stress and its position every month. Througfi the analysis of above results, the change law of temperature and stress along with time and the maximal and minimal temperature and the position and time of the maximal pulling stress can be generally understood, also, it provides scientific reference for the structure design and selection construction schemes.Comparing B scheme with A scheme, B scheme is advantagous to A scheme. So B scheme is selected.
