| FEA technology is used to analysis the structural strength, stiffness and temperature field of the cylinder block of model B3E gasoline engine. The precise 3-D geometry model of cylinder block is built with Unigraphics, a professional CAD modeling software. The boundary conditions are obtained by analytic method, and the model is submitted to FEM program MSC. Nastran to solve the model .So the stress distribution, deformation under the most unfavorable conditions and the 3-dimensional temperature field under steady operating conditions are obtained accurately and rapidly. While calculating the heat transference in the cylinder, only convection is considered. The cylinder bore was divided into sections according to different loads when applying thermal loads on to the inside surface of the cyl inder bore. Finally the regulation of temperature distribution is obtained. The result indicates that the area between the two cylinders of most is heated heavily, and that the temperature decreases from the top to the bottom step by stop. This paper mainly introduces the incorporate stiffness and deformation of the cyl inder block. The calculation results are discussed and summarized, which shows that the FEM 3-D model of the cylinder block is reasonable and practicable. Main problems at present are summarized for further research reference. |
