Tunnel Backhoe Loader is an important equipment on excavation and mucking during tunnel construction, and is mainly depended on imports at present. But the high price and long cycle spare parts of the foreign products often affect the construction unit's control of the cost and schedule. With the construction continuous advance in standardization> mechanization and factory in China, we are urgent to develop the Large Tunnel Backhoe Loader with independent intellectual property rights. View of this situation, the thesis try to use the "top-down" method of parametric design to design the excavation device of JGMWZ340 Tunnel Backhoe Loader in Inventor, accomplished the following specific work.Firstly, the thesis analyzed the working conditions of the backhoe loader, presented the design requirements of excavation device based on the actual needs of construction unit, designed the initial parameters reference to the similar models at home and abroad and created the initial skeleton model of excavation device in the conceptual design sketches. Then the thesis made the kinematic simulation of skeleton model for the working scope of the excavation device, also optimized the points of the component.Secondly, according to the optimization scheme, the thesis established the three-dimensional structure entity model of the excavation device and defined its properties such as materials. In the light of the actual conditions, the theoretical digging resistance of dipper stick cylinder and bucket cylinder were calculated. Using the theoretical resistance as the driving force to make the dynamic simulation of the excavation device, then the thesis got the theoretical digging force and cylinder blocking force, and provided the basis for the cylinder design.At last, the thesis calibrates the stability of the whole machine verifying the feasibility of the design; analyzed the working process in the dynamic simulation; analyzed the strength of the main components in dangerous conditions, based on the results the dipper handle and boom are optimized.
