This paper analyzes and deals with some issues related to the building of a new socialist countryside by employing the principle of the man-earth relationship, and gives some ideas to China's future-oriented development of the rural society.Nature is a basis of human survival and development. The principle of interdependence and mutual restraints between man and nature asks people to follow the law of nature, to use nature rationally and coordinate the man-earth relationship so as to make man and nature coexist harmoniously.Deterioration of the environment, ecological imbalance and the depletion of natural resources has become increasingly serious problems facing human existence. Desert and degraded land, polluted air and rivers and the loss of biodiversity is not only disharmony between man and nature, but also the consequences of the human's inappropriate behavior, which worsened the human living environment and reduce people's quality of life, therefore, it is necessary to change human behavior, so as to improve the relationship between man and nature .The unification of urban and rural development, the settlement of "three rural issues" and building a new socialist countryside is vital to the building of a harmonious society. Construction of the new countryside fully embodies the man-earth relationship. Relationship between man and nature is in fact the relationship between people. Correctly handling the relationship, in fact, means correctly handling the relationship between people in human society, which lays the foundation of building a harmonious society. For the rural development, we must discard that sort of the economic growth mode by high input, high consumption and high pollution which damages the ecological environment. It is important for us to take a road of ecological sustainable development instead of taking the economic development road of first pollution after treatment, first damage after protection.
