Teachers are engineers of human souls. Under the new situation of deepening education reform and comprehensively pushing on education for all-around development, whether the reform can achieve the desired results, teacher literacy is essential. Among it, the degree of proficiency and mastery of teaching skills directly determine the quality of teaching and personnel training. As the cradle of cultivating the future teachers engaging in basic education, normal university can combine the characteristics of various profession and use the means of modern education—microteaching to improve normal students the basic teaching skills rapidly and effectively in the short term. But through the feedback of teaching skills after normal students enter the teaching positions in recent years, we have found that the cultivation of normal students' teaching skills in normal university exist significant deficiencies. In view of the characteristic of biological disciplines, integrating with the present situation of microteaching in biological science profession of Central China Normal University, on basis of comparing and analyzing the present situation of microteaching at home and abroad, this paper refines the basic pattern, the evaluation strategy and the implementation suggestions for microteaching in biological profession of normal university. I hope that it can provide certain models and enlightenments for the effective implementation of microteaching in normal university.The thesis is composed by four parts: introduction, basic theory, practice research, conclusions and recommendations.The first part elaborates the background, the significance of selecting this topic and the research methods.The second part shows clearly the basic theory of teaching skills and microteaching, mainly including the connotation of teaching skills and microteaching, the classification of teaching skills, what teaching skills normal university should train normal students, the basic theory of microteaching (education theory, learning theory, system theory, information theory and cybernetics) and the basic process of microteaching.The third part is the practice research of microteaching in biological science profession of normal university. This part tries to learn the present situation and deficiency of microteaching implementation in normal university and verify the effectiveness of the current basic training mode of microteaching through questionnaire surveys and action research methods.The last part provides the preliminary proposals and requests to improve the microteaching implementation in biological science profession of normal university. It suggests normal university make the improvement from adjusting the microteaching curriculum settings, createing new skill training mode of microteaching, setting up diverse comprehensive assessment system, building a digital platform for microteaching, expanding the curriculum resources of microteaching, and paying attention to the training of teachers' basic skills in peacetime, in order to unceasingly enhance the actual effect of microteaching in biological profession of normal university.
