Based The On Comgis Heritage Attractions Information Inquiry System Design And Realization

China, one of the countries with world-famous ancient civilizations,possesses a long history and a glorious tradition.The rich cultural relics preserved both on the ground and underground have vitnessed the long history and the splendid culture of our country,and also become a special scenery.How to exploit ,protect ,manage ,plan and publicize cultural relics effectively ,as one of the important factors, ensures the sustainable development of cultural relics undertaking. In the age of information, information is the life line of the cultural relics undertaking .The application of the information technology promotes new revolution of cultural relics undertaking. It has become the key factor of the sustainable development of cultural relics undertaking.Kunming is the city that has abundand resources of cultural relics .It is an important task to make full use of the resource superiority to promote the cultural relics undertaking of Kunming.With the further development of computer technology, network, multimedia technology and the constant growth of demand levels of people, the drawback managed and operated in informationization of the cultural relics becomes more and more obvious. It has restricted the development of the cultural relics undertaking of Kunming to a certain extent, and needs to make use of modernized technology to set up a complete information system urgently. Applying the advanced spacial information technology—Geographic Information System (GIS), We attempt to design and develop the Cultural Relics Information Query System (CRIQS) based on the technology of ComGIS in Kunming in order to contribute to the development of the cultural relics undertaking for Kunming.Firstly, having analysed the functions and significance of CRIQS and the present situations on informational management of cultural relics at home and abroad, the paper discusses the developing trend of CRIQS and specialties of ComGIS. Secondly ,directed by the thinking of software engineering ,the paper has analysed the importance, necessity and feasibility of setting up the CRIQS in Kunming.And then using the component GIS software MapX 4.5 and the object oriented programming tools Visual Basic 6.0 as the platform and Oracle 9i as a database,the paper illustrates the process about how to develop the convenient and useful CRIQS. Regarding the development course of CRIQS as the base-line, The article explains the realization course of the main function of the system in detail, such as editting function of the electronic map, operation and control of view of map, mutual querying function between map and text , demonstration function of spot's multimedia of information , querying function of traffic information,etc. And the article gives further study and discussion in realization of algorithm about how to select the best bus route between two depots, and dynamic drawing technology of bus route querying result.
