Proposition of With the development of distributed network technology and the concept of digital earth, traditional GIS is developed towards network GIS of the information sharing. WebGIS is the organic integration of GIS and network. It makes the application of GIS expand to every aspect of the society and have become the popular information tool.Accord with network user' s basic demand for GIS , this paper study and discuss theoretically WebGIS under the distributed environment, realize a WebGIS system which using Java and MapXtreme middle technology , and integrate with ERP to this systemAs the development and application of geographyinformation system in network is more and more extensively in recent years, using GIS on enterprise to manage pipe net information become reality. The maturation of WebGIS theory and the quick development of CORBA, COM +, J2EE, ERP, as well as the issue of WebGIS product of every place manufacturer in world , make the realization of WebGIS have got technology on guarantee. The enterprise of pipe net, such as gas company , running water company, demand increasingly more GIS technology. They need manage plenty of pipe net information, and the management way which using paper already can not satisfy their needs. In addition many kinds of GIS software and data make data sharing, data storing more inconvenient, and the separation of the attribute liata and figure information made the management of pipe net work difficult . Hardware technology is developing quickly in recent years, the bandwidth of the network is increasing constantly , and the processing speeds of the server is improving too. Various kinds of the factors above-mentioned have offered the condition for research in this text.This paper talk about the WebGIS in GAS information system . After the research and the comparing all skill, finallywe decide to use MapXtreme and J2EE to build the distribute WebGIS and integrate it with ERP. In detail MapXtreme is developed by Java and COM. J2EE is used for enterprise system developed by Sun Corp. Its advantage is great performance and integration.My paper take this skill as the develop method, first of all, we talk about WebGIS and its develop method. Then we focus on the skill such as ERP> Distribute WebGIS. J2EE and MapXtreme for Java. The whole project design and the software design is presented at the end. According to the design, we develop and realize the system.
