This thesis discusses the application of fast multichannel spectral measurement in measuring spectral parameters of light emitting diode (LED). Multichannel detectors and the technique of multichannal spectral measurement play an important role in measuring spectral parameters of LED with fast and real-time properties.We develop a miniature instrument that can measure spectral parameters of LED, which is based on MCU and Serial-port communication. This compact and portable instrument can work in continuous way. It can measure all kinds of spectral parameters of LED, whose spectrum is in the range from 400nm - 700nm.The system takes MCU as its kernel controller, which control PIT-8253 to produce control signal of the S3901-256LVF sensor. Under the control of MCU, A/D collector starts to collect and convert the video signal into digital signal. Finally, all collecting data are transferred into the personal computer through Serial-port communication.The structure of this thesis is as follows. We present the principle of the measurement of spectral parameters of light emitting diode in detail. Then we give the detailed design idea and its realization, mainly focusing on the hardware system and the software system. At last, we demonstrate the accuray of this spectral inrtrument.
